Office 365 Faculty & Staff Email FAQs

This FAQ has been written for our faculty and staff audience.

Q. Will my CampusCruiser email be moved to WUmail /  Office365_logo_black ?
A. As of February 2017:
If you were not forwarding your CampusCruiser email, your Cruiser email (2000 emails per folder) will be migrated to WUmail / Office365_logo_blue for you.
If you do forward your CampusCruiser email, it will not be migrated to WUmail / Office365_logo_blue

Q. How will I access CampusCruiser email after June 5th?
A. After June 5th, CampusCruiser email will no longer exist.  You will still be able to access an archive of your email (Archived Cruiser Email). 

Q. How will I access my Archived Cruiser Email after June 5th? 
A. Log into CampusCruiser, hover over MyCruiser in the  menu bar and choose Archived Cruiser Email.

Q. What does the ad0\ mean before my login ID?
A. This is part of the sign-in configuration; it is automatically added when logging in.  You only need to enter your Login ID.

Q. Will I continue to login to CampusCruiser?
A. Yes, but you log into CampusCruiser via the Widener Sign in page.  Once logged in, you will be sent back to CampusCruiser.

Q. What is the Widener Sign In Page?
A. This is the page where you will log into CampusCruiser as well as Office365_logo_blue and Zoom.  The Widener Sign In page will be the primary “single sign-on” page as ITS adds features and resources.

Q. Will my CampusCruiser email still forward to my Gmail account after June 5th?
A. No, your CampusCruiser email will now be forwarded to your Office365_logo_blue account.  To forward to a 3rd party email account (Gmail, Yahoo, etc), you will need to reconfigure your Office365_logo_blue settings.

Q. Will my personal calendar and contacts from CampusCruiser be migrated to WUmail / Office365_logo_black ?
A. The calendar and contacts will not be migrated during the migration process.  Documentation is provided on the ITS news blog to export your calendar and contacts out of CampusCruiser and into WUmail / Office365_logo_blue.

Q. Will my shared calendar in CampusCruiser be migrated to WUmail / Office365_logo_black ?
A. No calendars will be migrated to WUmail / Office365_logo_blue.  Shared calendars can be exported and imported into WUmail / Office365_logo_blue the same way as your personal calendar.  Documentation is provided on the ITS news blog to export your calendar out of CampusCruiser and into WUmail / Office365_logo_blue.

Q. Why are we changing CampusCruiser email?
A. So that students, faculty and staff are all using one email system.  Also, eliminating the confusion due to multiple email systems, and a significant cost savings to the university.

Q. Are accounts with Emeritus status also moving to WUmail / Office365_logo_black ?
A. Yes, Emeritus client accounts will be migrated to WUmail / Office365_logo_blue.

Q. When will my @mail.widener.edu address stop working ?
A. May 2018.
